The Centre for Social Sciences Research (CSSR) and the  Institute for Democracy, Citizenship and Public Policy in Africa  (IDCPPA) at the University of Cape Town invite you to join us for a lunchtime seminar on 27 August 2024 at 12:45pm. The seminar will be presented by Dr Nadeen Moolla.

About the Seminar:

Making a difference in schools

The presentation will focus on sharing the school development work engaged in by Marang Education Trust. The organisation focuses on teacher and school leadership development in rural schools around the country. Dr Moolla will share findings from the mixed methods evaluation research conducted at the end of 2023. She will focus on recommendations for schools, districts and development practitioners regarding how we can as an education ecosystem impact on the provision of quality education.

Speakers

Dr Nadeen Moolla holds the position of Research and Development Manager at Marang Education Trust. She is an educational psychologist who leads and manages research and development within a non-profit social impact organisation involved teacher, school, and district development in rural and township contexts. Nadeen is responsible for facilitating professional and personal development of staff within her organisation and also oversees the development of programmes, resources and interventions aimed at supporting teachers, school managers, and education district officials.
