Mzi Nduna holds a permanent appointment at the University of the Witwatersrand and is a researcher with the DSI/NRF CoE-HUMAN, and a lead investigator for the network of ten academics based in Southern Africa (Net-10). She works on research, training and advocacy in the areas of sexual and reproductive health father (dis)connections, social cohesion and reduction of harmful alcohol use.
Mzi has recently co-published a chapter on domestic violence in the global South, a case study on father (dis)connections from research with Afrikaans-speaking boys. Mzi is affiliated to the AIDS Foundation of South Africa, Centre for studies of Sexuality, AIDS and Gender and the Historical Trauma and Transformation Chair. Mzi’s scholarly work prioritizes community-engagement through collaborations with local, national and international interest groups.
