On 4 April, 13.00–14.00 in AC Jordan 116, Prof. Andrew van der Vlies (QMUL, UWC) will be in conversation with Dr Erica Lombard (UCT) about two new collections that he has edited:

Zoë Wicomb. Race, Nation, Translation: South African Essays, 1990–2013. Edited by Andrew van der Vlies (Wits University Press, 2018).

and

South African Writing in Transition. Edited by Rita Barnard and Andrew van der Vlies (Bloomsbury Academic, 2019).

Andrew van der Vlies is Professor of Contemporary Literature and Postcolonial Studies at Queen Mary University of London, and Extraordinary Associate Professor in the Department of English at the University of the Western Cape.

Erica Lombard is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Department of English Language and Literature at UCT.
