Biography
Tatenda Mugwendere is a quantitative research analyst working on the HEY BABY project at the Adolescent Accelerate Hub under the Centre for Social Science Research at the University of Cape Town (UCT). His current role mainly focuses on research facilitation (data cleaning, management, storage and analysis) as well as research conceptualization, design and co-ordination. He recently completed his doctoral thesis in Demography at UCT, and his research focused on analysing patterns of union formation and household living arrangements among Black/African women of reproductive age in South Africa using both cross-sectional and longitudinal data. He has also done the coursework component of the MPhil in Demography programme at UCT, and holds a Master’s degree in Population Studies from the University of KwaZulu-Natal as well as a Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree in Operations Research and Statistics from the National University of Science and Technology in Zimbabwe.
