Composer Hendrik Hofmeyr turns 50 this year, and the event is being celebrated by a number of concerts at UCT and elsewhere. The UCT concerts include a concert of his piano music by the piano staff of the SA College of Music, and one featuring his two string quartets and the cycle Of Darkness and the Heart for soprano and string quartet.
