Fee blocks lifted: register now

Dear Student

This message is meant only for students who are eligible to register in 2021 but who have until now been prevented from registering because of a fee block.

As you know, the Council on Saturday 13 March made a concession to allow students (with two exceptions) to reregister despite the 2020 fee debt.  Please note that Council did not extend the concession to GSB students or international students from continents other than Africa.

The 2020 fee blocks have now been lifted.

If you are an international student from SADC and the rest of Africa, the block on the 2021 upfront payment required will also be lifted. (Please note you will still need to comply with visa and medical insurance requirements.  Please refer any queries about this to IAPO.)

UNDERGRAD/Honours /PGDip Students

You should thus proceed to register immediately: ensure that you get your submission in by Friday 19 March 12:00.  Please follow the prompts on your PeopleSoft self-service activity guide. (International students in SADC and Africa will need to do the IAPO pre-reg before attempting to enrol.)

RESEARCH Students

Research students will need to complete their MoU or PPA before proceeding to registration.  Your supervisors are ready to engage with you on your electronic MoU/PPA.   Again, please begin the process immediately, but no later than 12:00 on Wednesday 17 March.

The faculty office is ready to process your registration and we look forward to having you back this semester.

Best regards,

A/Professor Shose Kessi

Dean of Humanities
