On Friday, December 6, 2024, the Michaelis School of Fine Art opened its doors to an exciting and heartfelt celebration of artistic achievement: the Graduate Show 2024. This annual event showcases the culmination of the creative and academic journeys of the final-year students, turning the Michaelis Galleries into a vivid mosaic of diverse artistic expressions.

The exhibition, curated by Jade Nair, the Michaelis Galleries Curator, has run until today, December 12, 2024, leaving visitors inspired and reflective.
The opening event was attended by key figures, including Professor Shose Kessi, Dean of Humanities at the University of Cape Town, and Dr. Kurt Campbell, Director of the Michaelis School of Fine Art.

Dr. Campbell celebrated the students’ accomplishments, highlighting the significance of their work as part of the school’s legacy of excellence and innovation in fine art. He noted the profound impact of their creations in addressing critical contemporary issues and contributing to meaningful cultural dialogue.
