‘Hidden Rivers: the Untold Story of the People of Konstansie’ opens this Friday, 3 September.
The Constantia Heritage and Education project, in collaboration with the Centre for Curating the Archive, Christ Church Constantia, Iziko Museums and photographer Kent Andreasen, will be hosting an exhibition for Heritage Month 2021 featuring the dispersed community of Constantia split up by the Groups Areas Act. The exhibition will be displayed first at Groot Constantia, and then to other parts of the city during the year. Led by an active committee of former and current Constantia residents, the aim is to build a permanent community centre, dedicated to the preservation of heritage and education in the Constantia valley.
