The Centre for Social Sciences Research (CSSR) and the  Institute for Democracy, Citizenship and Public Policy in Africa  (IDCPPA) at the University of Cape Town invite you to join us for a lunchtime seminar on 27 October at 12:45pm. The seminar will be presented by Dr. Merrian Brooks.

About the Seminar:

Integrating Lay Delivered Problem Solving for Youth: Lessons in Implementation

In this seminar, we will use the REAIM Framework to discuss problem-solving therapy as an evidence-based intervention for youth.

We will present our work on the Safe Haven pilot and phase one implementation in Botswana. We will discuss the theories, the promise, and our realities of context, adaptation, and questions of sustainability.

We will tackle some of the complexities of meeting community needs, and the responsibility to address current limitations in infrastructure, even in rigorous scientific studies
