About the Seminar:
Filmmaking in Participatory Research and Knowledge Translation
This presentation is based on a book chapter she is writing for a Routledge Handbook; Van Borek will share 3 case studies representing three different country contexts (Canada, South Africa, and Kenya) where she used various filmmaking approaches in participatory research and knowledge translation at the intersections of health and the environment. The presentation will include a screening of short excerpts of films related to the 3 case studies presented.
