Professor Johann Louw has contributed a chapter in an edited book on the production of PhDs in South Africa, especially in the Humanities and Social Sciences. The book is entitled Doctoral Education in South Africa. Professor Louw's chapter, Multiple paths to success, co-authored with G. Godsell, can be downloaded here.

He is currently at the University of Leiden in the Netherlands as part of his study and research leave. He is a collaborator in a study exploring the historical development of the notion of inwardness in modern societies.
