Prof. Colin Tredoux co-authors a new book on the consequences of child poverty.
Prof. Colin Tredoux, together with co-authors Jo Boyden, Andrew Dawes and Paul Dornan have just published Tracing the consequences of child poverty, with UK-based publisher Policy Press. The book reports on the findings of the Young Lives Study which traced 12.000 children in Ethiopia, Peru, Vietnam and India over 15 years. It examines how poverty affects children’s development in low- and middle-income countries, how policy has been used to improve their lives, and then goes on to show when key developmental differences occur. It uses new evidence to provide policy guidelines for addressing the consequences of child poverty.
