Under The Dome: Expression of Interest

UCT's Centre for Curating the Archive (CCA) would like to invite interested filmmakers and artists to participate in UNDER THE DOME; an immersive and experimental short film festival that seeks to explore the exciting new possibilities of digital dome projection, while pushing the boundaries of traditional filmmaking techniques and conventions.

Applicants MUST have a good working knowledge of digital video production and editing. Successful applicants will participate in a workshop that covers the fundamentals of dome projection and, in addition, will receive technical guidance and support, as well as limited funding from the CCA to cover their equipment and production costs.

How To Apply:

We would like all interested individuals/groups to apply for this opportunity by submitting a letter of motivation (no longer than one page) that includes the following:

-A short bio

-The aspects of digital dome projection that intrigue you

-A rough conceptual breakdown of the short film / production (5 – 8 minutes) that you would like to develop for the festival

-A projected budget for the equipment and production costs (if possible)

 This letter, along with your CV(s), and links to your most recent work/show-reels should be sent to underthedome.cca@gmail.com on or before 15 March 2019.
