World's first heart transplant
These are some of the documents relating to the world's first heart transplant, by Dr. Christiaan Barnard at Groote Schuur hospital, in Cape Town, in 1967. These documents are housed in UCT's Manuscripts and Archives department and the Heart of Cape Town museum.
