The Centre for Social Science Research is an interdisciplinary research centre at the University of Cape Town dedicated to conducting and building capacity for systematic, policy-relevant social science research in South Africa, the region and across Africa. 

Currently, the CSSR is made up of three research units, the Safety and Violence Initiative, the Adolescent Accelerators Research Hub, the Sustainable Societies Unit and the Social Intervention Research Unit.
