Aydin Erdoğan
Aydın Erdoğan is a PhD candidate in the Centre for African Studies at the University of Cape Town (UCT). He has a Master’s degree in International Political Economy and a Bachelor of International Relations. He holds a scholarship from the Turkish Ministry of National Education (MoNE). In exchange for the awarded scholarship, he will assume an academic position at Ankara University, Türkiye. His studies focus on nation-building, nationalism, security, terrorism, and foreign policy. In his PhD thesis, he explores the nation-building process and the Perspective of People Living in Cape Town on South African National Identity. He has published books, book chapters, articles, and analyses in Turkish and English. He has also attended two international conferences in Türkiye.
