Biography  

Mandy Phuti is a Junior Research Fellow at the Centre for Social Science Research (CSSR), University of Cape Town. In this role, she conducts and coordinates scoping reviews on interventions aimed at reducing early child marriage, adolescent pregnancy, and improving educational outcomes among adolescent girls and young women in Africa. She is also involved in quantitative research investigating the impacts of climate change on adolescent health and well-being.

Mandy holds a Master of Public Health (Environmental Health) and a BSc (Hons) in Environmental Science and Health. She previously worked as a Research Assistant in the Environmental Health Division at the School of Public Health and Family Medicine, UCT, and as a Research Intern at the African Climate and Development Initiatives. Her research interests include climate change, environmental health, adolescent health and well-being, sexual and reproductive health (SRH) and longitudinal data analysis.
