Michaelis School of Fine Art is thrilled to invite you to our 2026 Silent Auction, an online fundraising event supporting three important causes close to our community: the student graduation catalogue, the year-end exhibition, and the Michaelis Bursary Fund.

Over three days, art lovers, alumni, collectors, and supporters of the school will have the opportunity to bid on a curated selection of artworks created by talented Michaelis students, all from the comfort of home. Every bid placed goes directly toward helping our graduating students showcase their work to the world and ensuring that promising young artists have the financial support they need to pursue their studies.

Why It Matters

The Michaelis School of Fine Art has long been a home for South Africa's emerging artistic talent. Each year, our students pour their creativity, ambition, and hard work into a body of work that culminates in the year-end exhibition and graduation catalogue, both essential milestones that launch their careers. The Michaelis Bursary Fund, meanwhile, helps ensure that a Michaelis education remains accessible to talented students regardless of financial circumstance.

By taking part in the Silent Auction, you're not just acquiring a unique piece of original art. You're investing directly in the next generation of South African artists.
