Archive and Public Culture is pleased and proud to announce that post-doctoral fellow Duane Jethro has been awarded a Georg Forster Research Fellowship by the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation.

Through fellowships like this the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation fosters collaboration and cooperation between excellent scientists from Germany and abroad. Duane will work with Professor Sharon Macdonald at the Centre for Anthropological Research on Museums and Heritage at the Humboldt University, Berlin.

His two year project, titled Aesthetics and Difference: Heritage, Social Diversity and Change in Berlin, looks at the shifting aesthetic appeal of heritage formations in a context of diversity and urban change and the kinds of propositions of belonging they articulate. The APC wishes him all the best with this new and exciting project, and looks forward to his continued participation in the APC as a much-valued research associate.
