Chris Wingfield
Although born in South Africa, Chris has lived for most of his life in the UK. Chris previously worked at the Pitt Rivers Museum in Oxford, where he studied Archaeology & Anthropology and at Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery, while undertaking a part-time PhD at the University of Birmingham on the museum of the London Missionary Society. He has also taught Heritage and Material Culture Studies at the Open University. In 2012-13, together with Karen Jacobs, he convened an AHRC funded networking project, 'Who Cares? The Material Heritage of British Missions in Africa, and the Pacific and its future’ (http://maa.cam.ac.uk/who-cares/), which resulted in the 2015 book 'Trophies, Relics and Curios’(https://www.sidestone.com/books/trophies-relics-and-curios).
