Grant McNulty

Grant McNulty is a post-doctoral fellow of the Archive and Public Culture Research Initiative and runs his own digital media consultancy, iAfrika Digital. He completed a PhD thesis on custodianship and the production and mobilisation of the past in one area of KwaZulu-Natal entitled, "Custodianship on the Periphery: Archives, Power and Identity Politics in Post-Apartheid Umbumbulu, KwaZulu-Natal".His current post-doctoral work focuses on the Five Hundred Year Archive, a project that aims, through the development of an online research exemplar, to bring together pertinent to the last 500 years of Southern Africa’s pre-colonial past.
