Marlene Winberg

Marlene Winberg is a storyteller and author with a MA FA degree from the University of Cape Town. She was an active member of the APC between 2009 and 2013 when she focused her research on the !kun children’s textual and visual material in the Bleek and Lloyd collection.

Her research interests are in culture, archive, oral traditions and narrative practices in marginalised communities. She works as a writer and trauma councillor for the Swedish based World’s Children’s Prize Foundation. She is currently a PhD candidate in the Department of African Studies at UCT.
