Mojalefa Koloko

Mojalefa Koloko is a DSI/NRF Doctoral Research Fellow under the Archive and Public Culture Research Initiative at the University of Cape Town. His research focuses on the historical review of the transition from traditional systems of governance that were initially used to protect human rights in Southern Africa, towards contemporary systems of governance.  He has previously conducted research that investigated human rights violations of Somali refugees in the cities of Grahamstown, Port Elizabeth, Uitenhage and Pretoria, South Africa. He has worked in collaboration with organisations such as the European Union, New Hope, CGM Group and the Independent Electoral Commission of Lesotho. Mojalefa is a two times Rhodes University Graduate with a Master’s degree in International Relations and a BA (Honours) degree in Political and International Studies. He is also a holder of a Bachelor’s degree in Practical Philosophy and Applied Ethics from the National University of Lesotho and a Diploma in French Language from the Ministry of Research and Education, France.
