Njabulo Ndebele
Former President of the Congress of South African Writers, Njabulo S Ndebele is a poet, novelist, and essayist whose works include the Noma prize winning Fools and Other Stories, The Cry of Winnie Mandela, South African Literature and Culture: Rediscovery of the Ordinary and, in 2011, Fine Lines From the Box: Further Thoughts About our Country. Chancellor of the University of Johannesburg and former Vice Chancellor of the University of Cape Town, he is a key figure in South African higher education. He is Chair of the Mandela Rhodes Foundation and the Nelson Mandela Foundation, which published ‘In Conversation with Njabulo Ndebele’ to celebrate Nelson Mandela’s 90th birthday.
