Soprano singer Noluvuyiso Mpofu has placed second in the 35th International Hans Gabor Belvedere Singing Competition. She is the latest in a crop of UCT opera students and graduates who have excelled on the world’s stages. The Belvedere Singing Competition has been a springboard to international opera careers for UCT alumni. The 2016 competition final showcased 16 singers from nine countries. Four were South African singers.  Read the full UCT Daily News story...
