Patrick Whang
Patrick Whang is a PhD student in the Historical Studies department at the University of Cape Town. His research focuses on the post-colonial political history of Lesotho. His thematic interests include the intersection of African nationalism, economics, democracy, and regionalism in influencing political conflict and society. He also holds an MA in Economic History from the University of Cape Town. His research focus then was on the collapse of the East African Railways as a regional institution within the previous East African Community.
