Primary Health Care: Health for All

A series of CPD accredited lunch time cross-disciplinary discussions was hosted by Primary Health Care (PHC) in the Faculty of Health Sciences between the 30 July and the 7th September. The seminar series marked the 40 year anniversary of the Declaration of Alma Ata at the international Conference on Primary Health Care in September 1978. To commemorate the Declaration, international health leaders will be renewing their commitment to PHC with a new Declaration at the Global Conference on Primary Health Care in October 2018.

On the 23 August Patti Silbert and Tembeka Mzozoyana presented on the COSAT Wellness Center. Their presentation: “Dynamic youth wellbeing: A School Wellness Center in Khayelitsha” was positively received, and fitted in well with the theme for the week: 'Building Partnerships'.
