Future You Programme

Future You’ sanitary pad project: the training session which took place on the 16 August involved 65 Grade 9 girls and 40 Grade 9 boys. There were seven trainers present (two nurses from a community Clinic, two male facilitators from MEED, the District Doctor, a Life Orientation teacher & the Social Worker).  The training, which included sexual health and education, was followed by the distribution of the sanitary pads to the girls. An evaluation took place thereafter and learners expressed the need for further sessions.
