The German Language and Literature Section teaches German at both undergraduate and postgraduate level.

Students will be admitted to the German Section whether or not they have already studied German. The courses offered by the German Section are designed for students of German as a foreign language. Students for whom German is a second or home language will be accepted under certain conditions, and after prior discussion with the Section Head.
