Clifford J Pereira FRGS is a recognised international scholar on “Bombay Africans” and will address the changing historiographical landscape on this narrative and the relevance of this period to African-Asian perspectives.

Pereira FRGS has conducted research in London, Vancouver and Hong Kong over the last sixteen years which has focused on a variety of themes, leading to publications by UNESCO, BRILL and Routledge. He is a research associate with the Museum of Anthropology, University
of British Columbia, Canada, and a guest lecturer with the African Studies Department, University of Hong Kong.
