The Trilateral Reconnection Project (TRP) is an agreement between the University of The West Indies, the University of Cape Town and Brown University, which calls for student and faculty exchanges and joint research projects between the three universities. The project was initiated by the Center for Caribbean Thought at the University of the West Indies, Africana Studies department at Brown University and the Centre for African Studies at the University of Cape Town.
With sponsorship from the Coca Cola Foundation the Centre for Caribbean Thought is now initiating the student exchange program. The program is designed to allow Masters and PhD candidates enrolled at The University of the West Indies or the University of Cape Town to travel to one of the following campuses to conduct research toward their thesis/dissertation:
- The University of the West Indies, Mona Campus
- University of Cape Town, South Africa
- Brown University, Rhode Island
