For PHI1010S only, it is compulsory for extended degree students to register for the Philosophy Plus course aligned to their main course:

Extended degree students registering for PHI1010S Ethics, must also register for PHI1011S Ethics +.

(Only extended degree students are allowed to take the Philosophy Plus courses.)

The Philosophy Plus courses consist of additional tutorial support from a dedicated and experienced tutor. Tutorial assignments are to be submitted each week.

Extended degree students are required to attend/participate in 80% of the tutorial activities in order to pass the course.

Note that it is possible to pass the Plus course and fail the Mainstream course, or pass the Mainstream course and fail the Plus course.

Whatever the outcome, the grade for the Mainstream course and a PA (pass) / F (fail) for the Plus course will be reflected on the permanent academic transcript.
