Dr Thulani Nzama
Dr Thulani Nzama is a Full-Time Lecturer in the Language Practice Programme at the Durban University of Technology (DUT). He obtained his Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in African Languages from the University of Cape Town (UCT) in 2026 under the supervision of A/Professor Rethabile Possa. His doctoral research, titled “African Names, African Narratives”: Exploring Literary Anthroponymy in Selected isiZulu Texts from the Apartheid and Post-Apartheid Periods, examines the significance of personal names in isiZulu literature and their role in reflecting social, cultural, historical, and political narratives.
