Dr Anele Gobodwana is a Senior Lecturer at the University of South Africa (UNISA) with expertise in isiXhosa, Education Studies, and the Sociology of Education. He completed his PhD under the supervision of A/Professor Rethabile Possa between 2019 and 2022 and graduated in July 2023. His doctoral research, titled “The Use of Translanguaging in Assisting Teachers to Teach African Languages in the Tshwane South Education District,” examined innovative approaches to supporting the teaching and learning of African languages within multilingual educational contexts. Following the completion of his doctoral studies, Dr Gobodwana held academic positions at Rhodes University and North-West University before joining UNISA as a Senior Lecturer.
