Dr Angelika Mate Mukoya is a scholar of African languages, literacy, and language development, with a particular focus on indigenous language intellectualisation, terminology development, and multilingual education in Namibia. She completed her PhD at the University of Cape Town (UCT) under the supervision of A/Professor Rethabile Possa, graduating in 2023. Her doctoral research, titled “A Critical Analysis of the Strategies of Term Creation in the Context of a Multilingual Namibia: The Case of ruManyo,” examined terminology development practices in indigenous languages and explored strategies for strengthening linguistic resources across specialised domains.
