Professor Allison Drew
Allison Drew is a professor emerita at the University of York. She has been an honorary professor at the UCT Centre for African Studies and is currently a fellow at the Stellenbosch Institute for Advanced Study. She has spent many years researching the South African left. Her books include South Africa's Radical Tradition, Discordant Comrades, Between Empire and Revolution: A Life of Sidney Bunting and We are no longer in France: Communists in Colonial Algeria
