Nadine Cloete

Nadine Cloete (Khoi-San) is a young filmmaker based in Cape Town. She is passionate about producing films that focus on heritage and identity. Jitsvinger: Maak it Aan (Make it Happen) was her Honours film for the University of Cape Town.

The film has been showed to seven sold-out screenings at this year’s Encounters South African International Documentary Film Festival. Action Kommandant won the festival’s audience award for Best South African Film.

“I have succeeded to be one of the best in the industry because of my unwavering beliefs, laser focused on delivering and persistence. Lesson learnt and shared with others is that determination no matter what obstacles we are faced with in life, we succeed because we want to succeed and fail because did not try again.” says Nadine.
