24 Hours

Thato Nolwazi Mosiuoa is a young black woman who was born and bred in the City of Gold. She is now a third-year Performance Making student at the University of Cape Town. Her mantra is "aspire to inspire before you expire," which she manifests in her everyday life and her body of work. She defines herself as a multifaceted Artpreneur who will combine her art and business skills to make a steady living for herself and to change the future of the entertainment industry in South Africa. She is the future.

ARTIST STATEMENT:

In the 21st Century, as women we find ourselves learning to live with the fear that men bring, which inhibits us from enjoying simple pleasures of life. This work is an exploration of what the world would look and feel like if men didn’t exist for 24 hours.
